Indus River for National Geographic Magazine

June 16, 2020 in News

I’m very excited to share a story I’ve been working on for several years about the Indus River, featured in the July 2020 issue of National Geographic Magazine. Water is a contentious issue in South Asia, and the story took me from the river’s source in Tibet through northern India and the length of Pakistan to understand how climate change, population growth, and geopolitics can affect the river and some 270 million people who rely on it.

See the story online here and more photos here.
